Afghans in the diaspora are spread across many countries, and the big social platforms are not built with their language and culture in mind. DelbarMe was meant to be a safe place to meet people, where the voice comes before the photo.

DelbarMe is a social app for Afghans and the diaspora, with a community feed, groups and a voice-first way to meet new people.
What we built
We built the app for iOS and Android with a shared feed, groups, a short voice intro on each profile and photos that are revealed gradually. One-to-one conversations are end-to-end encrypted, and new profiles are verified with a selfie.
